stacking ribbon

so... the other day... i started pulling out everything from the studio closet.
lots of it in there is organized... but some of it has been making me nuts!
i mean NUTS.
a bit of an inside on my personality... i like NEAT.
things with like things... things in their spot.
and when things get messy... i get LOOPY!
now... that's NOT to say our home is always neat.
HA!
oh my word!
if you saw it right now... your jaw would hit the ground.
but... knowing i'll be more efficient (and HAPPY) if it's tidy in there...
had to tackle it.

i'm still mid stream on the closet... stuff everywhere...
but one thing got me sidetracked and i thought i'd share.
just in case... you could use it too.

i've had ribbon in jars... baskets... bins... you name it... it's been there.
i don't have the wall space for one of those neat holders... love those...
but i do have shelf space.
so...
as i was pulling out everything... and saw all my wood stuff... it hit me.
"what in the world"... i can make stands for all the ribbon.

i could have gotten all fancy... pulled out the drill...
but i'm knee deep in stuff and really... i just wanted to see if it'd even work.

grabbed my wood screws... phillips head...
eye balled the center of the base...
screwed the screw all the way through... til it came through to other side...
flipped it over... and twisted on the dowel.
i literally danced for joy!
it worked.

certainly they could be painted a fun color... you could even add a knob to the top...
but i went super simple.

yall... these are like 1.50 each... max!
i'll take it!

- UPDATE -
and tHaNks to a reader... elizabeth... :)...
straight pins work gReAt to keep the ribbon from unraveling.
